- A fundraiser for Deanna Favre's HOPE Foundation -- Customers will be asked if they’d like to Adopt-a-Flamingo for a $1.00 donation to the Hope Foundation. In exchange, Jo To Go America will give customers a coupon for $1.00 off a future purchase at Taco Flamingo, and Jo To Go America will match total customer donations (up to $500.)
The HOPE Foundation, founded by Deanna Favre, seeks to raise awareness about breast cancer, and provides assistance to women who are underserved or underinsured in their battle against breast cancer. - Lots of fun freebies: Radio personalities Average Joe and John Maino from WIXX 101.1 FM will be on hand from 10 AM to Noon, giving every tenth customer a free Taco Flamingo t-shirt. They will also randomly give away tickets to Defending the Caveman, a Broadway play running at the Meyer Theater in November. All customers will receive coupons towards a future Taco Flamingo purchase. And kids that come through will be given free Taco Flamingo tattoos and stickers.
Jo To Go President Dick DuBois said that the company put together a grand opening event that reflects the company’s identity.
“We’ve planned a grand opening celebration that’ll serve up authentic Mexican fare and fabulous specialty coffee drinks with a healthy side of FUN for the whole family,” commented DuBois. “We also wanted to continue our tradition of supporting the community in which we live. Deanna’s Favre’s HOPE Foundation has helped countless women in a struggle that has impacted the lives of many of us—the struggle to beat breast cancer.”
Taco Flamingo, the new co-brand to Jo To Go Coffee, was launched at the Radisson Street location on October 24. According to company research, Jo To Go Coffee is the first national coffee business to initiate a completely unique co-brand. The Taco Flamingo/Jo To Go Coffee pairing serves the breakfast, afternoon and evening dayparts.
The Jo To Go Coffee side continues to offer the fabulous specialty coffee drinks and bakery for which the coffee franchise has become known.
Taco Flamingo is a quick service drive-thru offering authentic Mexican grill fare with breakfast, lunch and dinner options for the whole family. Authentic menu items include tacos, burritos, quesadillas, chimichangas and tortas, served quickly to order. Combo meal options pair main dishes with popular sides like rice and beans, chips & salsa. Customers can choose an enticing meat selection of steak, seasoned chicken, seasoned pork and even fish. Customers also have the luxury of choosing “American-style” with meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes OR “Mexican-style” with meat, onion, cilantro and lime.
The format of the new store remains a double drive-through, where customers are able to order and receive service at either drive-through window for Jo To Go Coffee and/or Taco Flamingo products and service.
